St Matthew Visit

Here I display photos of the whole 4 days visit by The Assistant Principal from St Matthew Academy, Mr Nathan Mansfield to Our Beloved School SMK Balai Ringin.

The Arrival

Mr Nathan arrived at our school on 14th July accompanied by Mr Adrian Hon from BC, Kuching. I was not in the picture because still bz in the lab. My boss have to call me telling that our guest have arrived. What a shame.. Surprise…

Sharing session at Staff Room

Yes, our staff room is compact with people and there are less room for everybody. I was relocate to the com lab due to the lack of space in this area. Yes, we have a LCD TV for our electronic board.

Mini Cultural Exhibition

To promote the culture that we have in Sarawak, we conduct a mini exhibition on cuisine, crafts, costumes and music. This is the first time we conduct such event. Excellent work Form 3.

That Night we have a Cultural Night with the Theme “Ngiling Bidai”. Ngiling Bidai is actually the closing ceremony for Gawai Dayak Festival celebrated by The Dayak in Sarawak. Dayak refer to all the native races including Iban, Bidayuh, Orang Ulu, Penan and more. Melanau is exclude from the list. Melanau is a bit different from the other races. During that night, we have a lots of cultural performances such as sape, tabuh, bilangi, ngajat, ranyai and more.

The next day The Young Leaders do their assignment whereby they conducted the Olyimpic Day Sport Festival with the theme ” Sharing the Olympic Spirit” inconjunction with Olympic Beijing 2008.
